The limited series,New Blood, supposedly wrapped up his story back in 2021, withHarrison Morganshooting his serial killer father in the icy woods of Iron Lake in Upstate New York. However,New Bloodbecame Showtime’s biggest ever success, and the merger with Paramount saw the ‘resurrection’ of the iconic anti-hero. What Can Fans Expect From Dexter: Resurrection?
One of the complaints aboutNew Bloodwas the lack of legacy characters in major roles alongside Dexter Morgan. It was understandable, as Dexter was living under the new name of Jim Lindsay, after faking his own death. Not to mention, a lot of characters from the original series perished in the originalDexterseries. However, Debra Morgan returned asDexter’s Ghost, and Jack Alcott took on the role of Dexter’s now teenage son, Harrison, and he’ll reprise the role in the sequel series.David Zayas only appeared in a recurring role inNew Blood, but fans were delighted to hear that he’ll return as a series regular inResurrection,as well as James Remar as Harry Morgan. Just this week,Uma Thurman signed up to star inResurrection. Details have surfaced about Thurman’s character, courtesy ofDeadline:
Thurman will play Charley, the Head of Security for mysterious billionaire Leon Prater. A former Special Ops officer, Charley worked various high-level private security jobs before taking on her position as the resourceful and meticulous right-hand woman for Prater.
