Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash Part 1 was directed by Shūkō Murase, and Yasuyuki Mutou wrote the script. Alexandros' Senkou is the main theme song for the movie. Hiroyuki Sawano composed the music for Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash Part 1.
The movie was a success in terms of earnings. According to reports, Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash made 524 million yen in its first weekend. It went on to cross the 1 billion mark,making it the first Gundam movie to do soin 33 years.
