Mortal Kombat 1has had a bit of a tumultuous journey over the last year and a bit. WhenMortal Kombat 1released in September 2023, it was met with pretty good reviews across the board, and its post-launch roadmap seemed like a slam-dunk thanks to a strong line-up of DLC fighters like Omni-Man, Homelander, and Peacemaker. But things haven’t gone smoothly.
ThoughMortal Kombat 1’s first Kombat Pack was generally met with positivity, the game was frequently criticized between DLC fighter releases, mostly for its lackluster seasonal content and a few now-infamous microtransaction scandals. Despite that, developer NetherRealm pushed ahead with its plans to release a major story expansion and a second wave of DLC fighters. Flash forward four months andMortal Kombat 1is about to release its final DLC fighter,Terminator 2’s T-1000. And while an official release window hasn’t been given for the fighter, a few dates seem likely.

What Past Mortal Kombat 1 DLC Release Patterns Have Looked Like
Mortal Kombat 1’s first Kombat Pack began to roll out just two months after the game’s release.Invincible’s Omni-Manarrived on May 27, 2025, and was followed by Quan Chi just 5 weeks later on December 14. It took quite a while forMortal Kombat 1’s next DLC fighter to appear, however, with Peacemaker being mysteriously delayed at the start of 2024. The DC anti-hero eventually arrived on February 28, just under 11 weeks after Quan Chi.
The rest ofMortal Kombat 1’s first Kombat Packarrived at a much more consistent rate. Ermac was released on April 16,The Boys' Homelander arrived on June 4, and Takeda was added on July 23. All three of these DLC fighters were released almost exactly 7 weeks after one another.
Mortal Kombat 1’s second Kombat Pack has been similarly consistent in its own way. Sektor, Cyrax, and Noob Saibot all arrived alongsideMortal Kombat 1’s Khaos Reigns expansionon September 24.Scream’s Ghostface was released exactly 8 weeks later, and the most recent addition to the roster, Conan the Barbarian, was released exactly 9 weeks after him.
All dates given here are when the DLC fighters became available for early access to those who had purchased the Kombat Pack. They all released exactly 1 week later to those buying them individually.
Mortal Kombat 1’s T-1000 Could Arrive in March
Taking all of the above information into account, it seems extremely likely thatMortal Kombat 1’s T-1000 DLC fighter will be released between 7–9 weeks after Conan’s early access launch date. This means that T-1000’s release window would be some timebetween March 11 and March 25.
Of course, it’s always possible thatMortal Kombat 1’s T-1000 receives a mysterious delay that results in a strangely long wait like what happened with Peacemaker last year. But with T-1000 beingMortal Kombat 1’s final DLC character, at least for now, it’s likely that NetherRealm will want to end on a high note, and that would require the character to arrive within a reasonable timeframe.
