A random vampire in Castlevania Nocturne Season 2

6Annette’s Vampire Stalker

Here’s Needle In Your Eye

After meeting up with Juste, Annette and Richter head back to the city when they are confronted by a group of vampires. They don’t have names but they’re all quite powerful but not strong enough to last against these two heroes. Among the deaths, the hooded vampire that Annette is mainly fighting, who looks like he came out ofa cyberpunk anime, gets it the worst.

She throws a thin silver rod into his eye she sticks him to a tree. Nobody wants to die via eye injection no matter how big the spike is or pinned to a tree for that matter. Death aside, Annette has an amazing arm on her if viewers ever had any doubt.

A French captain dying in Castlevania Nocturne Season 2

5Drolta’s Assault On The French

Deaths Not In Vain

Drolta’s death at thehands of Alucardat the end of season one of as was pretty surprising. It was more dramatic when she was revived in this season via The Abbot’s machine, stronger and more dedicated to Erzsebet Bathory than ever. Now that she can hunt during the day, she storms the Revolutionary Army’s camp in episode two and just demolishes the soldiers like tearing through paper.

One of the more grim deaths has her rip half of someone’s head off so that just the teeth and everything else below remained. Another brutal one was the female captain who was choked to death and part of her insides were popping out but thankfully things cut away before viewers had to see more.

King Louis XVI being executed in Castlevania Nocturne Season 2

4Louis The 16th (Louis The Last)

Viva La Revolution!

The ending to episode three sort of comes out of nowhere.Castlevania: Nocturnetakes place during the French Revolution which does end with Louis The 16th, nicknamed Louis The Last, getting beheaded by a guillotine. It happens inCastlevania: Nocturneas well without much of a fuss from him. It’s a rough way to gofor a kingcorrupt or otherwise but at least it was a clean cut in the anime.

The idea of publication execution is definitely a fear that some can relate to even though guillotines aren’t really a thing anymore. The most haunting thing about this ending though is when Louis The 16th’s ghost is led into the afterlife which only Annette can see and it sends shivers down her spine.

The Abbot in Castlevania Nocturne Season 2

3The Abbot (Emanuel)

Death By Dragon

Easily one of the most fearsome deaths in the anime is Emanuel’s, The Abbot of the city. At the end of season one ofCastlevania: Nocturne, it’s revealed that Emanuel and Teraconceived Maria togetherin secret. Maria is torn up about this secret in season two along with Emanuel making monsters and sacrificing her mother to Erzsebet.

Having finally had enough by episode four, Maria turns to the dark side and summons a dragon to roast Emanuel alive into a burnt husk of a man. A shadowy devil drags him to the underworld after and it can’t get any better for Emanuel down below.

Drolta draining Erzsebet Bathory in Castlevania Nocturne Season 2

2Erzsebet Bathory

Betrayed By Her Servant

Was season two the season wherein the big bad, Erzsebet, was going to die? That was probably the question most fans thought going into this latest season and the answer was almost unclear whenDrolta swooped downto rescue her. The twist is that she took Erzsebet into the air only to drain her of her goddess power: Sekhmet.

Drolta is sickened by the idea that Erzsebet lost the fight in episode seven after she put so much effort into building Erzsebet up. Erzsebet failed her so she decided to take things into her own hands and become the vessel of Sekhmet herself. Erzsebet dies via being drained by her former servant and then dropped to the cold street below like an undead sack of potatoes.

Richter fighting Drolta in Castlevania Nocturne Season 2

1Drolta

Ice To See You

Drolta’s betrayal is answered swiftly in the next episode. Even thoughRichter and his creware beaten down, they get up to finish the job. Richter imbues himself fully with ice, first punching cold blasts into Drolta, and cracking her skin in the process. Then, Alucard tosses his beloved floating blade to aid him in the final throws of it.

Imbued with ice as well, Richter takes his frosty saber and slices Drolta perfectly in two like when Trunks bisects Frieza in theDragon Ball Zanime. The strike is so powerful inCastlevania: Nocturnethat it destroys part of a building behind Drolta. Even Alucard is amazed by Richter and he’s been alive for centuries as an all-powerful dhampir.
