The book on Tails' desk is called “The Mystery of History,” authored by Professor Victoria. The title of the book clearly alludes to Professor Victoria’s enigmatic nature, but her name carries plenty of important connections toSonic’s lore.
Why is Professor Victoria So Important to Sonic’s Lore?
Shadow Generationsincludes a copy of Professor Gerald’s diary, which details the character’s life and his work in creating Shadow the Hedgehog. In the journal, there is a letter from the archival department addressed to G.U.N. Commander Abraham Tower, who says they wanted to know more about Gearld and Maria Robotnik’s lives, signed by T. In the Japanese localization of the journal, it is signed by Torii. This connection became more significant when theSonic the Hedgehog 3film featured Professor Victoria as an Easter Egg on a billboard, giving her the name of Professor Torii. These are, however, still unconfirmed theories right now.
Professor Victoria has clearly been teased for three years now, yet fans still know nothing about her. In light ofShadow Generations' release, one theory is that she’s Maria Robotnik’s sister and Victoria’s apparent occupation as a historian gives her a connection to the G.U.N. military organization, seeing as she also wanted to know more about Maria and Gerald.
