As reported by CharlieIntel on Twitter, the newWarzoneupdate has been causing matchmaking problems, and beyond that, it seems to have triggered some major issues for the Ranked Play mode. According to CharlieIntel,WarzoneRanked Play is plagued with problemslike players being under the map and Buy Station issues since the latest update.
Call of Duty: WarzoneRanked Play is the competitive version of the battle royale, and so these problems are especially serious. There has been no acknowledgment of the issues on the officialCall of Dutysocial media accounts at the time of this writing, but one has to imagine that Activision is well aware of the problems and a fix will be rolled out sooner rather than later.New updates are releasedforCall of Duty: Warzoneon a regular basis, so fans shouldn’t have to wait too long for these problems to be resolved.
Call of Duty’s player count on Steam has been downin the wake of stiff competition in the online multiplayer space, problems with cheaters, and recent unpopular decisions like the premiumSquid GameBattle Pass. While things seem grim at the moment, getting these problems sorted out combined with the return of Verdansk could very well lead to a resurgence for the popular BR.
