Summary
One Nintendo fan recently ordered theWii Fit Ubundle, only to receive two of them in the mail. This pleasant surprise was made all the better by the fact that both of theWii Uproducts were in mint condition.
November 1 marked the 11th anniversary of theWii Fit Uhitting the market in North America and Europe. While theWii U console was a commercial flop,Wii Fit Uwas fairly well-received, with VGChartz estimating it sold a little under a million units within its first three years on the market, meaning roughly one in 13 people who bought Nintendo’s eight-generation console also purchased its exclusive fitness game.

Looking to join this subset ofWii U owners, Reddit user DarkNemuChan recently ordered an unusedWii Fit Ubundle for $30 online. Once their package arrived, they were surprised to discover that it included two whole bundles. DarkNemuChan didn’t specify the exact seller of the bundle, but considering that Nintendo stopped sellingWii Fit Uyears ago, it stands to reason that the package came from a reseller.
Given the contents of their shipment, thislucky Nintendo faneffectively paid only $15 for each unusedWii Fit Ubundle. Their pleasant surprise subsequently emerged on the front page of the r/WiiU subreddit, where someone commented that they would gladly pay to take the extra product off their hands. It’s unclear whether DarkNemuChan took them up on that offer. Each of the bundles that they purchased includes a balance board, pedometer, carrying case, and a copy ofWii Fit U.
Online Sellers’ Shipping Mistakes Sometimes Benefit Buyers
Getting twice as many products as one paid for is an occasional occurrence in online retail. For instance, someone else received two PlayStation Portalsin late 2023, while Sony’s handheld was in extremely short supply. In most such cases, the extra products are shipped by mistake. In this particular instance, there’s a chance that the extraWii Fit Ubundle was sent on purpose, perhaps because the seller was just looking to get rid of some old inventory that isn’t attracting much consumer interest nowadays.
Wii Fit Uis one of only a few dozen Wii U exclusives that haven’t been ported to Nintendo’s next console. Given its reliance on multiple accessories, the game is unlikely to ever make the jump to a different system. Nevertheless, since the Switch gotRing Fit AdventureandNintendo Switch Sports, it’s plausible that the newly announced Switch 2 will also receive some exergaming titles from Nintendo.
