After what feels like a millennium of leaks, rumors, and speculation surroundingNintendo’s awaited successor to the Switch, we finally have confirmation from the House of Mario itself: theSwitch 2is coming in 2025, and more information will be shared in a Nintendo Direct on April 2.
So, while we don’t have anything regarding a release window, it’s safe to assume thatNintendo’s chunky handheldwill launch sometime in late summer/early fall. However, we’re talking about Nintendo here, so anything could happen. But there is a way to play the system before it even comes out, thanks to theSwitch 2 Experience.

How to Get Tickets
The Switch 2 Experience will take Nintendo all over the world, appearing in major cities to let fans get their hands on the upcoming console.
The experience will kick off on April 4 in New York City and Paris, France, and will last until sometime in the summer. Here are the confirmed dates and locations so far:

You will not be able to claim tickets for the Switch 2 Experience untilregistration opens on January 17 at 12 PM PT / 2 PM CT / 3 PM ET. You canclick this link here to go to Nintendo’s official website.
It’s worth noting that the tickets are randomly selected, and you will be notified if you are chosen. You also must have a Nintendo account to enter. Registration ends on January 26 at 11:59 PM local time.
What Games Are Going to Be At the Switch 2 Experience
Mario Kart 9?
Nintendo has not confirmed which titles will be playable at the Switch 2 Experience events. However, since theuntitledMario Kartgame shown during the reveal trailerwas the only game we know about so far, it’s safe to say that it appears as a playable demo. However, there are bound to be more game reveals during the Switch 2 blowout Direct in April.
