The January 16 announcement trailer confirmed the presence of the extra button on the upcoming console. Whileprior Switch 2 leakswere accurate about the shape and location of the new key, the real thing isn’t actually labeled with a “C.” Instead, the square button appears almost entirely featureless. Since the sources testifying to the presence of the letter “C” were otherwise correct about other aspects of the Switch 2, it’s plausible that the console’s prototypes indeed featured a C button, but Nintendo opted to do away with that label ahead of the announcement.
