Why Oda Has Been Taking So Many Breaks

Oda’s Health And Live Action Have Been Adding To It

The year of 2024 was the one with the most breaks inOne Piece’shistory. Oda took more breaks that year than ever before. That is due to multiple reasons, but a major one was Oda’s health issues. Indeed, writing a manga is not an easy job, and it takes a toll on the mangaka, andOda is not immune to that. One Piece is a very long series, and Oda has had to suffer many health issues, especially in the last year.

Oda also wanted to be involvedwith theOne Piece Live Action, which led to him taking breaks. As many fans know, Season 2 of the Live Action was being filmed in 2024.

Oda also just wants to take more breaks in general to maintain a healthy schedule. One Piece is a lot of work, and fans should be glad Oda can have time to recover to come back and deliver his weekly chapters.

It’s likely that 2025 will also have a lot of breaks throughout, but perhaps not as many as 2024.
