The Celestial Dragons inOne Piecehave always been one of the most hated groups in the series. This group, being the supposed nobles of theOne Pieceworld, have treated almost every character like subhuman filth, even going as far as to not breathe the same air as them. From owning and buying slaves to killing people without remorse or repercussion, the Celestial Dragons are almost universally hated by all members of theOne Piececommunity.
However, there are some Celestial Dragons that fans find to be far less grating than others. Mainly, characters like the former Celestial Dragon, Donquixote Doflamingo, or the newly introduced, Figerland Shamrock, are far more palatable than the othernobles of theOne Pieceworld. Although there are many reasons for this, mainly, these two characters show a unique side of the Celestial Dragons thatOne Piecedoesn’t share very often.

Doflamingo And Shamrock Are Both Celestial Dragons In One Piece
They Were Raised In Different Circumstances
As a child, Doflamingo’s father, Donquixote Homing, was a Celestial Dragon who had a dream of living among the masses of normal people and escaping his privileged life. However, he soon learned that the people who were victimized byOne Piece’sWorld Nobleswere not as keen to accept them, leading to the family being frequently on the run from angry mobs, and eventually being caught and lynched by one. After being saved by Doffy’s Conqueror’s Haki, stemming from the child’s wish to rule over those beneath him, the young Doffy killed his father and set out to take revenge on the world itself.
I’ll get even with you idiots! I’m not going to die! - Doflamingo as a child

On the flip side, currently, little is known about the mysterious figure, Figerland Shamrock. Outside of being the twin brother of Shanks, another character who is technically a World Noble, Shamrock is aCommander of the Holy Knights. Outside of this, the figure doesn’t seem to wear similar garb to other Celestial Dragons, instead dressing in clothes more appropriate for battle.
Shamrock And Doflamingo Were Born As Celestial Dragons But Still Became Strong
Their Strength Sets Them Apart From Others
While both of these characters are arguably some of the most evil charactersOne Piecehas seen so far, especially due to their connection to the Celestial Dragons, overall, they show a different side of the group that hasn’t been explored very much. Mainly, the former Warlord, Doflamingo, and Shamrock are Celestial Dragons that possess their agency and aren’t nearly as lazy or spoiled as their World Noble counterparts. In many ways, their competence in battle and strength, despite sharing a similar arrogant personality, makes their negative qualities far more powerful.
As many fans know, the traditional Celestial Dragon inOne Pieceis incredibly weak. These figures often rely on Navy escorts, or even calling upon an Admiral themselves, whenever they are in danger. Due to this, while they are incredibly selfish and cruel, they possess no positive qualities to back it up, acting like complete cowards.

Their Strength Almost Makes Up For Their Attitude In One Piece
They Are Still Evil Figures Just More Likable
However, both Doflamingo and presumably Shamrock, have had to fight to reach the position they are in, honing their skills. In many ways, unlike the other Celestial Dragons andWorld Government ofOne Piece, it seems that characters like Shamrock and Doflamingo have done something to earn their superiority complex. For Doflamingo, it was building the largest underground empire inOne Piece, fighting tooth and nail to prove himself as better than others. For Shamrock, although little is known about the figure, it can be assumed that he needed to train vigorously and slowly through the ranks to become a Commander of the Holy Knights.
It’s not worth dirtying my own hands. - Shamrock
While neither of these characters could be considered good people, at the very least,Shanks’s twin brother, Shamrock, and Doflamingo have earned at least part of their arrogance through hard work. This shows a new side of the Celestial Dragons introducing a branch of the group that still believes in some level of hard work to remain superior to others. While this is still an incredibly evil line of thought inOne Piece, in a strange way, it’s more respectable when compared to the rest of the lazy and cowardly Celestial Dragons.
