Summary

A few years ago,One Punch Manwas one of the biggest anime names in the industry. Although its popularity might have dwindled, as issues with both the anime and the manga have arisen, the series still maintains a decent fanbase.

That said, the manga, illustrated by Yusuke Murata, is facing issues of its own. A major current issue is constant redraws of the same arc, for the second time in a row. This has upset many fans, and for very valid reasons.

One Punch Man Manga To Redraw The Same Arc Again

Ninja Village arc To Be Remade

On January 22nd of 2025, fans ofOne Punch Manopened the newest chapter of the series, only to discover that it isn’t a new story chapter, but instead a redraw. This redraw is specifically one of chapter 193 of the One Punch Man manga, which marks the beginning of the Ninja Village Arc.

This has angered many fans of the series, as this is the third time this arc has been drawn. This has caused the series to get stuck and not advance in the story at all, as the peopleworking onOne Punch Man, One and Murata, are constantly redoing an already finished arc.

The story of One Punch Manhas technically not made any progress since 2023. This means the manga has been stuck in the previous redraw of the Ninja Village arc for 1.5 years, only for it to now possibly be stuck for a year in this arc again.

Fans already know that the next chapter will also be a redraw, as seen by Murata’s tweet here on his X account:

What This Means for The Future of One Punch Man

One Punch Man is in a complicated situation now as the story writer and illustrator of the series keep redoing the same arc. These changes are also not only concerning the art quality and paneling, but also sometimes change the story, which makes it seem like they keep experimenting with their fanbase.

This also all comes after the failure of Season 2of the One Punch Man anime, which was understandably not able to live up to its first season.

One Punch Man’s future doesn’t look too bright right now, as the manga sales themselves haven’t been amazing either. Fans can only hope that when these redraws are over, the next arc is able to bring back the fans to the story and take them on an enjoyable ride again.
