More information can be expected in the coming weeks.
AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 Sale Timeline
Based onRDNA 4 architecture, the Radeon 9000 series GPU lineup is said to include theRadeon RX 9070 XT, RX 9070, RX 9060 XT, and theRX 9060, of which the first two have been officially confirmed. However, there was no information on when these would come to market. Now, David McAfee, the VP and GM of AMD CPU and GPUs, shared on X (formerly Twitter) that gamers will be able to get their hands on Radeon 9000 series GPUsin March.
Initially, AMD had shared that the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 would be available inQ1 of 2025, which suggests these two GPUs will be the ones going on sale in March. They will be available through all board partners, including ASUS, Acer, GIGABYTE, ASRock, XFX, Sapphire, and others. For now, the pricing is unclear, but it is suspected that the performance will be around the same as theNvidiaRTX 4070 Ti andRTX 4080 Super(via Wccftech) GPUs. In comparison with the current generation RTX 50-series cards, they could punch at the same level as the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070.

Are Enthusiasts Ready for Radeon’s Next Move?
As for the response to this post, people don’t seem to be very excited about these GPUs. Some are not confident with the timeline, while others have shown disappointment about a lack of flagship tier GPUs this generation. This suggests the price range for the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 could be around that of Nvidia’s counterparts, at$749and$549. However, it is very likely that the AMD offerings could be priced even lower.
Nvidia hasalready announced pricing and release datesfor the RTX 50-series cards, and they will be going on sale much sooner than the AMD offerings. The top-tier RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 are launching on January 30, while the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 will arrive in February. This will give Nvidia a full month to capture the market before any competition shows up. As to what this will do for the Radeon RX 9000 series going on sale, only time will tell.
Very little is known about the Radeon RX 9000 series GPUs and rumors have suggested that the RX 9070 XT has16GBof VRAM,4096 cores, and64 CUs. The RX 9070 follows with 16GB VRAM,3584 cores, and56 CUs. In addition, the rumored RX 9060 Ti and RX 9060 could come with8GB VRAM, but it is unclear if these GPUs will feature GDDR6 or GDDR7 VRAM.
