Penitent’s End is an island shrouded in tragedy, lost souls, and treacherous beasts. Despite being known for its looming darkness, the area is also home to the ‘Fools’ and the Dragon of Dirge inWuthering Waves. The region is rather interesting to explore as it’s filled with darker enemies and endless caves.
Aside from the numerous puzzles and winding dark paths, the region also has Treasure Spot Chest locations. There are a total of five in the area and although the game tells youto use the Sensorto locate the chests, many of them cannot be found through that method. Here are all the locations for the chests in Penitent’s End.
Penitent’s End Treasure Spot Chest Location 1
Teleport to the Resonance Nexus at Figurehead’s Shrine and then headnorth on the maptowards the Secret Entrance. Head inside the cave and you’ll find the first chest near some enemies. You need to get rid of them to unlock it. The remaining three chests can be easily found with the help of the Sensor.
One chest will be located near some boxes at the back of the cave. The second one is located on a wooden platform secured to the wall. you may use the grapple ability to reach it. The final chest will be near the edge of the water and inside a boat.
Penitent’s End Treasure Spot Chest Location 2
The second location iswest of the islandand near the Resonance Beacon in that area.You’ll eventually reach a camp of Fractsidus, who you will then need to defeat to unlock three chests on the ground level (two in front of the tents and one behind). The fourth chest will be located behind a rock near the shoreline and the fifth chest will be on a wooden platform above you. You can climb the tents to reach the area.

Next, teleport back to the same Resonance Beacon you used before and head behind you towards the path. You can use the Somnaire White Cats Paw to accelerate your speed and reach the destination faster. You’ll eventually come to another Fractsidus camp, and you’ll need to defeat all the enemies to unlock two of the locked chests.
The third chest will be hidden behind some boxes, just use the Sensor to locate them, and the fourth chest will be directly behind it near a cooking station. Defeat the enemies there as well, before taking the chest. The final chest will be on thetop deckof thelast tent in the camp.
Penitent’s End Treasure Spot Chest Location 4
This area is only a short run away from the previous Treasure Spot. You only need to jump off the cliff in front of you and glide down to thefirst wooden platform you see. That will be thefirst chest in the area you find. If you missed it, don’t worry as you can just grappleupwards or use Cuddly Wuddlyto help you out. From there on, use the Sensor and take advantage of the vantage point given to spot the other chests.
The second one will be covered by some rocks that you have to break. It will also be on a wooden deck secured into the wall a few meters lower than what you’re standing on.You’ll need to use Cuddly Wuddly’s punch here to break the rock.The third chest will be on the wooden platform directly below the previous one and the final chest will be near the campfire situated on the ground.
Penitent’s End Treasure Spot Chest Location 5
This Treasure Spot location doesn’t really show up on the map unless you head near it. The best thing about it is that it’s a short flightnorth from your previous Treasure Spot Chest positionand all the loot is located on a wrecked ship. you may just use the Sensor here as well, since the chests are pretty easy to find. Three of them are located in the ship’s cargo and the final one is located on a rock outside the ship.
Penitent’s End Treasure Spot Chest Location 6
The final set of chests is located in The Strand. This is the more desolate part of the island and locatednortheastof the map. You can teleport to the Resonance Beacon in the area and run across to the mini island where the Treasure Spot mark is located. You’ll eventually reach a ruin of sorts, and it will be filled with enemies. Make sure to clear them out before using the Sensor to find the chests, as their tags will interfere with it. The first chest will be located up the stairs and at the bottom of a broken building. The second one will besurrounded by some enemieson the ground, and it will be directly opposite the previous location of the first chest.The enemies are below the wooden deck you see after climbing all the stairs.
The third chest will be located at the very top of the broken building in front of you. You can use the walls to run up and head inside the holes to find the chest on the top floor. The final chest is a little tricky as it will be hidden. Once you’re on the first floor, use the Sensor and then follow theyellow cogwheel sign in front of you. Head towards the lower deck area (the one filled with boxes upon boxes) and go underneath it. Break the boxes in front of you to reveal an ‘investigate’ sign and the final chest will pop up.
