Update: PSN services are back online as of February 8 at 8 pm EST.
Since around 6 PM EST,PSNhas been reported to be down for PlayStation users. Unfortunately, there are no details on whenPSNservices could be restored.
PlayStation Network offers online services for PlayStation gamers to make use of. In addition to allowing players to play games online with friends, PSN lets gamers use thePlayStation digital store, create profiles, share content, and more. While many PlayStation players enjoy using some or all of these features on a daily basis, many are currently unable to do so.
ThePSN Service Status pagehas provided a run-down of the services impacted. Currently, account management, gaming and social, PlayStation Video, PlayStation Store, and PlayStation Direct are all experiencing issues. The service outage also appears to be affecting all platforms, including PS4 and PS5 users. While the PSN Service page said the outage began at 7 PM EST, it is worth noting thatDowndectorstarted getting reports of issues around 6PM EST. With that in mind, users have been dealing with problems for quite a while already.
PlayStation Network is Down Right Now
This news is understandably frustrating for those using the PSN services. While Sony is working on a fix for the problem, it is currently unknown when things will start getting back to normal. Hopefully, things will start coming back online soon for those experiencing issues.
