While they didn’t specify which specific movie in the franchise would appear in the game, the accompanying image makes it seem like the more recentBlade Runner 2049would be the one. Another noted leaker,HYPEX, followed up with similar news a few minutes later, saying aBlade Runner 2049collab is in development. Leakers Suggest a Fortnite and Blade Runner Crossover is in the Works
Neither leaker said when fans can expect theBlade Runnercrossover or what it would entail, but Ryan Gosling’s Officer K or Harrison Ford’s Rick Deckard would be obvious choices for player skins. In the bigger picture, a collaboration betweenFortniteand the legendary cyberpunk franchise would make a lot of sense as a way to drum up publicity for the latter. Amazon’sBlade Runnershow has cast its leadsand could finally get off the ground before long after production delays. Adding classicBlade Runnercharacters toFortnitecould keep it in pop culture consciousness before the series gets further along and can release more promotional material.

Fans of the series could finally be getting the video game content they’ve lacked for years.
