Summary
According to the latest leaks and rumors,Ubisoftcould have big plans for the Nintendo Switch 2. The Nintendo Switch 2 has not been officially revealed by Nintendo just yet, but chances are the console will have its official unveiling sooner rather than later. And if the Switch 2 is anything like past Nintendo consoles, it’s likely that it will be home to many games published byUbisoft.
Ubisoft has shown a great deal of supportfor Nintendo platforms for decades. Ubisoft has released some timed-exclusives on Nintendo consoles, and has even collaborated with Nintendo on games in the past. Now it seems that Ubisoft’s support for Nintendo is set to continue with the Switch 2, whenever the new console finally releases to the masses.

According to leaker Nate the Hate, Ubisoft has big plans for the Switch 2. In a recent video, it was claimed that Ubisoft plans to releaseAssassin’s Creed Miragein the Switch 2’s launch “window,” which would mean it would hit the console by the end of the year. It’s also been claimed thatAssassin’s Creed Shadowsis coming to the Switch 2 as well, but that it will not be within the new console’s launch window. Other Ubisoft games expected to come to the Switch 2 includeRainbow Six SiegeandThe Division, as well as a possibleMario Rabbidscollection that would combineMario + Rabbids Kingdom BattleandSparks of Hope. In total, Nate the Hate expects “more than half a dozen” Ubisoft games for the Switch 2, primarily comprised of ports.
Rumored Ubisoft Switch 2 Games
This isn’t the first time that we’ve heard word of Ubisoft games potentially coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. A separate leak from last year claimed Ubisoft plans on bringingmultipleAssassin’s Creedgames to the Switch 2.MirageandShadowswere mentioned in the previous leak alongsideAssassin’s Creed Valhalla,Odyssey, andOrigins.
Now, it’s worth pointing out that theSwitch 2 is backward compatible, so it will have access to a huge range of Ubisoft-published games right out of the gate. This would includeAssassin’s Creed Odyssey. But if the rumors about Ubisoft’s Switch 2 plans are true, then it seems the handheld could very well become a great option for fans of theACfranchise wanting to take the experiences on the go.
It really wouldn’t be surprising at all if the rumors aboutUbisoft’s planned Switch 2 supportturn out to be true. As some may recall, Ubisoft aggressively supported the Wii U as well, and with the Switch 2 virtually guaranteed to be a big hit, it’s really a no-brainer for most publishers to start working on games for the device.
