Sakamoto Days Is A Big Hit

Based on the data,Sakamoto Days’s anime premiere broughtin 8 million viewers, beating the record set by Baki Hanma. The latter’s season two peaked at 6 million viewers, and even Dandadan and Dragon Ball: Daiba couldn’t break the record. However, it would be remiss not to mention that they weren’t exclusive to Netflix.

Sakamoto Days has released two episodes so far, and it has a rating of 8 on IMDb and 7.99 on MyAnimeList. While the rating may not be as high as that of other ongoing anime titles, the anime is undoubtedly loved by the masses.

The first season isgoing to be 11 episodes long, so it will be over in just a few weeks. More information on the second season will be announced at AnimeJapan 2025, which will be held towards the end of March 2025.

Sakamoto Days' Manga Already Got A Reprint

Sakamoto Days is based on the mangawritten by Yuto Suzuki. The manga began serializing in the Weekly Shonen Jump in November 2020. So far, it has released 20 volumes, with more on the way. Sakamoto Days has sold more than 7 million copies to date, which is a solid number considering the anime adaptation has only just started.

It is also worth noting that Shuesiha has already ordered a reprint of all manga volumes as they expect the sales to increase while the anime is ongoing. Sakamoto Days' anime adaptation was announced in May 2024. The anime aired its first episode on July 22, 2025.
