Summary
Sakamoto Daysepisode 2 had better pacing than the first one. The episode was focused on Sakamoto and Shin, as they went to Niikita Chinatown to pick up some meat buns. Shin questioned Sakamoto’s decision to travel so far to pick up some meat buns. However, he soon realized the food was for his wife and daughter. After purchasing the buns, Sakamoto and Shin were getting ready to leave. Unfortunately for them,a young girl, named Lu Shaotang, crashed on top of Sakamoto and crushed the meat buns completely.
Before they could confront the girl, they were surrounded by multiple shady men who wanted to capture her. One of the villains tried to attack her, but the girl knocked him out with a single blow. However, she was eventually captured, and the gangsters decided to attack her legs to prevent her from escaping. It seemed that the girl was going to be badly hurt, but Sakamoto intervened at the right moment. The three defeated the remaining mobsters and subsequently fled the scene.
Why Is Lu Shaotang Being Targeted?
It was revealed that Lu Shaotang belonged to a mafia family. The chairman of the Danshokai had already disposed of Lu Shaotang’s parents so that he could control the black market. For this dream to be realized, he needed the girl. His regular henchman failed, so he looked to the services of Son Hee and Bacho, both of whom were happy to carry out the task.
Elsewhere, Shin was questioningLo Shaotang about why she was being chased. The girl revealed that they wanted to steal a key that belonged to her parents. It was necessary to open a secret safe that had many valuables. Lo Shaotang wanted to go her separate way, but Sakamoto asked her if she could make meat buns. She told Sakamoto that her father had a recipe. This is all Sakamoto needed to know.
Vs. The Nefarious Brothers
Sakamoto, Shin, and Lu Shaotang had to fight Son Hee and Bacho. The latter were talented assassins who admitted to murdering Lu Shaotang’s parents. The confession was enough to raise the stakes. Son Hee and his brother were confident in their abilities, so in their minds the fight would be over in seconds.
What they didn’t know was Sakamoto Taro was an incredibly powerful individual who could take out entire gangs without guns or swords. Sakamoto gave Bacho a taste of his incredible physical strength. There was a flashback in the middle of the fight that showedhow Sakamoto Taro gave up his old ways. After the flashback was over, Sakamoto, Shin, and Lu Shaotang wrapped up the fight.

Next, they headed to the safe’s location, where they defeated the chairman. Subsequently, Lu Shaotang opened the safe and found that it contained the treasures left by the previous family heads. After looking around, she found a container with a note left by her father.

Sakamoto Days Episode 3 will be released on July 27, 2025. It is titled “Welcome To Sugar Park,” and it will be available to watch exclusively on Netflix. Sakamoto Days episode 3 looks rather promising. In the preview, it was revealed that JCAA put a hefty bounty on Sakamoto’s head. Given the fact that Sakamoto’s head is worth a billion yen, it is clear that the organization wants to get rid of him as quickly as possible.
The ludicrous bounty is bound to attract bounty hunters and other evil people. Naturally, Sakamoto would have to defend himself and his family from any malevolent individuals.
