Severance’s Cloning Technology Theory Debunked by Cast Members

It’s fair to say that most viewers can’t watchSeverancewithout coming up with their own theories due to how utterly wild many of its mysterious storylines are, and, essentially, that’s exactly what makes Ben Stiller’s and Dan Erickson’s series so compelling; it makes its viewers think and discuss its endless baffling plots, constantly keeping the show relevant. In a new YouTube video by Entertainment Weekly, the outlet sat down with the show’s cast to talk aboutSeverance’s countless fan theories. One fan speculation, which seemed to be a highly popular one, included the theory that Lumon Industries was cloning people, which would explain whyMs Caseywas so robotic in her mannerisms.

Adam Scott, who plays Mark Scout inSeverance, quickly shot this theory down by stating, “This sounds like what Lumon would be doing in a super boring version of Severance.”, while Patricia Arquette, who is known for films likeA Nightmare on Elm Street, Stigmata, andTrue Romance, laughed at the suggestion of Lumon’s cloning technology before very clearly expressing how inaccurate it was. “You are very far off and wrong.” said the actor who plays Harmony Cobel and Mrs Selvig.

The rest of the cast ofSeverance, which included Zach Cherry, Britt Lower, and John Turturro, were careful not to reveal any other spoilers regarding what season two will hold, but now that fans can finally put the cloning theory to bed, the question about what the heck the goats are about is still left unsolved. One fan seems to think that they are actually the board members, which probably sounds completely crazy, but inSeverance, anything is possible. “I’m not going to debunk this,” Cherry said. “It’s possible the goats could be the board.” However, Turturro wasn’t buying it: “I’m debunking it.”
