5Spider Dungeon

A Raid With Hidden Motives

Jin-Woo was recruited into a C-rank dungeon raidalongside another E-rank hunter, Yoo Jinho. The group was led by Hwang Dongsuk, a C-rank hunter with his crew. On the surface, this was a great opportunity for Jin-Woo to level up, earn some quick money, and gain more experience. However, when they stepped inside, Jin-Woo felt something was off, because Dongsuk’s group did not have a healer.

After they proceeded into the dungeon, they killed many small beasts, but the real danger still lurked ahead. When they finally reached a chamber with the dungeon boss, Dongsuk revealed his real plan. When the group entered the final chamber with the boss,Dongsuk turned against Jin-Woo and Yoo Jinho. Dongsuk and his men sealed off the exit, blocking any chance of escape, because their true intention was to kill Jin-Woo and Jinho and leave no witnesses. His reason was that he didn’t want to split the dungeon rewards; hence, they would loot the spoils and claim that the monsters killed the two.

The dungeon boss is a massive venomous spider, and Jin-Woo has no choice but to go toe-to-toe with it. Despite its enormous size and deadly venom, the spider was nothing compared to the trials Jin-Woo had already faced. He used his speed and agility to avoid its attacks, landing devastating strikes. Jin-Woo finally cut down the monster, but Dongsuk wanted to eliminate Jin-Woo and Jinho to cover up his crimes. However, Dongsuk and his crew met their ends because Jin-Woo surpassed them.

4The Instant Dungeon Of Hapjeong Subway

Jin-Woo Vs The Subway Serpent

After barely survivingthe horrifying Double Dungeon incident, Jin-Woo discovered something strange: a blue screen, visible only to him, granting him access to the System. This mysterious interface gave him quests, stats, and rewards. One of his first missions was to enter an Instant Dungeon and survive. The dungeon was located in Hapjeong Subway Station, in an abandoned underground tunnel system infested with many beasts like Lycans and Stone Trolls. Through determination, Jin-Woo cleared the tunnel wave after wave while leveling up and growing stronger.

The deeper Jin-Woo went, the stronger the monsters became, leading him to the true boss at the tunnel’s far end. In this case,Jin-Woo had to either adapt or die. The boss is a huge serpent known as the Blue Venom-Fanged Kasaka with very strong scales that Jin-Woo finds hard to penetrate. The serpent has a bone-crushing bite with great agility. Jin-Woo found it hard to kill the snake and got injured along the way. However, since he had leveled up before he reached the boss, he could dodge the serpent’s deadly bites and give it a final strike that killed it.

3The Hellish Dungeon

The Fight Against Cerberus

After crushing his enemies in previous dungeons,Jin-Woo was growing stronger at an alarming rate. He received a key from the System that unlocked a hidden, S-rank dungeon called the Demon Castle. In the castle, the System shows that there is a magical potion that can cure all diseases, and Jin-Woo hopes it will work for his mother.

Unlike normal dungeons, this was an instant dungeon created purely for Jin-Woo. The dungeon had 100 floors, each with different types of creatures. Jin-Woo’s first challenge was the entrance guardian, the three-headed Cerberus, which has great strength. Jin-Woo had no party members, healers, or outside help; hence, this was a pure test of strength and strategy.

Cerberus had unparalleled speed and reflexes, and its ferocious bites were capable of crushing the bones. Jin-Woo quickly realized that fighting head-on was suicide. Cerberus was very strong and fast, so he had to be smart about the fight. Instead of attacking recklessly, he focused on evading and analyzing the beast’s movements until he found an opening to give Cerberus a deadly strike. Havingcleared the Cerberus dungeon level, he has 99 more to go.

2The Job Change Quest Dungeon

Jin-Woo Versus Igris

When Jin-Woo accepted the job change quest, he was transported into a separate dimension filled with enemies. This dungeon was another solo challenge, with no help, no escape, and only victory or death. Also, Jin-Woo could not use most of the System powerups in this dungeon.

First, he had to survive waves of undead knights with skilled swordsmanship. He had to rely on speed, dodging and weaving between attacks to get through the knights so he wouldn’t be too overwhelmed. Then, he had to face powerful mages capable of long-range magical attacks that could kill him if he wasn’t careful. For the mages, Jin-Woo closed in on them before they could cast another spell. At one point, he had to fight many knights and mages at once, but he vanquished them all.

As the battle raged on, Jin-Woo’s level rose, increasing his stats and sharpening his reflexes. The dungeon’s final boss is Igris, a knight on an entirely different level from the previous knights Jin-Woo had fought. Igris’s swordsmanship was flawless, with fast movements. For the first time in the dungeon, Jin-Woo struggled against the boss. Jin-Woo focused on Igris’s fighting pattern, and with perfect timing, he gave him a deathly blow. After he killed all his enemies in the dungeon,he raised them from the dead and made them his shadow warriors.

1Ice Elf Dungeon

The Red Gate

What was supposed to be a C-rank dungeon spiraled into chaos when the exit portal suddenly transformed intoa Red Gate. In this case, hunters cannot retreat if things get too dangerous because a red gate forcefully transports hunters to another dimension, sealing them off from the outside world until the dungeon is cleared. Many of the hunters in this dungeon were low-rankers and completely unprepared for what lay ahead. In the middle of all this, Jin-Woo remained calm.

Jin-Woo encountered massive Ice Bears and intelligent Ice Elves in the dungeon. He killed all the ice bears in the cave and turned them into his shadow warriors to level up. The next threat was the ice elves and their leader, Barca. Jin-Woo summons his shadow hunters to combat the elves while he fights Barca. The duel between Jin-Woo and Barca was fast-paced, but Barca was not strong enough to counter Jin-Woo and Igris’s counterattacks. AfterJin-Woo defeated Barca, the dungeon cleared, and the red gate finally opened, allowing Jin-Woo and the survivors to return.
