One day beforeMarvel’s Spider-Man 2goes live on Steam and Epic Games Store, PC port developer Nixxes detailed some of the game’s new features, including ultrawide resolution support, raytracing, and upscaling technologies. AlthoughMarvel’s Spider-Man 2was confirmed to get a PC port over a year after its original PS5 launch, Nixxes remained quiet after revealing the PC port, which caused someSpider-Manfans to express their concerns about the project on social media.

However, with a day to go untilMarvel’s Spider-Man 2PC launch, Nixxes addressed those concerns with a long-awaited update. Ina PlayStation Blog post, Nixxes revealed some PC-specific features thatMarvel’s Spider-Man 2will have when it goes live on January 30. Nixxes stated that high-end PCs can use Nvidia’s DLSS Ray Reconstruction to improve raytracing quality on supported graphics cards, including the RTX 40 and 50 series. Along with Nvidia DLSS,Marvel’s Spider-Man 2will also support AMD’s FSR and Intel’s XeSS upscaling technologies to increase performance on supported hardware. The game will alsorun on ultrawide resolution monitorsat 21:9 or 32:9 aspect ratios, including triple monitor setups at a 48:9 aspect ratio. Additionally, running the game at the minimum setting is possible on GPUs such as the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650. However, raytracing will require a high-end GPU, like the RTX 4070 or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT, along with a multicore processor such as the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or newer.

Nixxes also confirmed that a PlayStation Network account would not be required to playMarvel’s Spider-Man 2on PC. However, PSN remains in the game as an optional feature for trophy and friend list support, but players who use it will gettwo new suits for Peter and Miles to wearbased onSpider-Man 2099. All preorder bonuses forMarvel’s Spider-Man 2will be permanently available as PC purchase perks, including the Arachknight and Shadow-Spider suits.

AlthoughMarvel’s Spider-Man 2will not receive any story DLC, PC players will soon be able to web-sling through New York City. Only time will tell how the game will fare after launch.
