After a surprising reveal in the previous mission,An Act of Mercy, Skif is sent out by Dr. Kaimanaov to test the Subtle Matter theory inStalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. Players will need to go around the map, seeking the location of Lab X3, and retrieve the cartridge from the Signature Station. Legends of the Zone is one of the longest main missions of Stalker 2, which will lead to a surprising encounter with a legendary stalker, Strelok.
Retrieving Sidorovich’s Stolen Cargo in Legends of the Zone
After the Act of Mercy mission, players must meet up withSidorovich at the Rookie Villagein the Cordon region ofStalker 2. He’ll require you to fetch his shipment from a group of bandits nearby.
Meet Up With Dark & Reach Lab X3
After helping Sidorovich with his stolen cargo task, head inside the technician’s house to ask Wolf the guide about Lab X3. He’ll mention a guy named Dark, who mighthelp Skif enter Lab X3.
Heading Deeper Into the Facility
After meeting up with Dark in the tunnels, he’ll explain how the elevator is disabled due to apower outage and Skif will need to restore itbefore entering through the back entrance.
Meeting Strelok & Leaving the Facility to Retrieve the Cartridge
After you enter the room, all the television will turn on, displaying subliminal messaging that will affect Dark in a cutscene. He’ll convulse and fall to the ground, forcing Skif to start shooting at the TVs. An unknown figure will attack Skif and start to rummage through Dark’s belongings to take out a phone with explicit instructions tokill Strelok.
The mysterious figure is revealed to be the legendary stalker, Strelok himself. After the long cutscene, players will need to exit the facility and retrieve the cartridge.
After you get the cartridge, the Legends of the Zone mission inStalker 2will be marked as complete. Once you exit the house, Strelok will have a brief conversation before the next mission, A Subtle Matter, is revealed.
