Summary
SYNDUALITY: Echo of Adais a PvPvE extraction shooter with a focus on mech combatants known as Drifters, and their anime-style assistants known as Maguses. Throughout the game world, players will encounter several threats in the form of toxic rain, rogue Drifters, and mutated animals known as Enders, all the while trying toextract valuable AO Crystals from the groundand return safely underground. It may sound like a lot to deal with, but there are lots of things players can do to give themselves a good chance at survival. The first of these is the selection of a Magus System.
Magus Systems are essentially the different classes a Drifter can choose, and each one has a specific focus when it comes todealing with the hostile game world. While some may provide resistance against the harsh and corrosive weather, others will provide easier navigation towards AO deposits or focus on certain enemy types. It is important to pick the right Magus System as changing this later on will require a Magus Remake Ticket, which costs real money. Here’s how all the Magus Systems in the game stack up against each other.

5Anti-Ender
Focuses On Ender Combat
The Anti-Ender system is arguably the most basic in the game, since Enders are generally the easiest enemy type to deal with. This system willdisplay a health bar for Endersduring combat. It also has a strongmulti-target Magus Skill, which can be very useful for dealing with Chasers and Crawlers in particular. Considering how often players will run into these enemies during the game, these advantages can be a great help when scouring for items and objectives.
The system does have a slight reduction to AO Crystal detection and Cradle Analysis, which will make many of the game’s more valuable loot locationsa lot more difficult to navigate. Overall, there are other systems which are superior, since they provide a more balanced approach to dealing with the many other challenges on the surface.

4Anti-Cradle
Focuses On Cradle Combat
The Anti-Cradle system isdesigned withcombat against other mechs in mind. Along with fellow players, there are also many different rogue Drifters throughout the map, including some extremely powerful Magus Hunters. For the player to stand a chance against them, it helps to make use of every possible advantage, and the Anti-Cradle system is great in this regard.
The Anti-Cradle system has several useful features for dealing with enemy Cradles, includingdisplaying a health bar(which ordinarily won’t show for other systems) for them. Additionally, the Anti-Cradle Magus Skill willrestrain enemies and significantly reduce their movement speed, which can work against both Cradles and Enders. These strong advantages do come at a cost, however, since Anti-Cradle units will have a shorter AO Crystal detection range and weaker analytic abilities.

3Weather Gazer
Provides Useful Weather & Mining Features
The Weather Gazer system aims to deal with one of themore dynamic factors inSYNDUALITY: Echo of Ada: the weather. When acid rain pours down from the skies, they will cause damage to the Cradle’s weather resistance shield. Meanwhile, it also provides Enders with increased power and heightens the value of AO Crystals. Considering the frequency of rain in the game, particularly in some areas with high-value loot, this system can make all the difference between a successful and a fatal run.
In addition to providing aradar which alerts players of incoming rain, the Weather Gazer also has a special Magus skill that can help protect against the rainfall itself. This can be especially useful when looking to extract high-value and high-purity crystals during an intense downpour. Additionally, the Weather Gazer candetect AO Crystals over a wider areathan some of the other systems.

2Defensive
A Very Strong Magus Skill
The Defensive system is one of the stronger options, and has one of the strongest Magus Skills out of all Magus systems. In addition toreducing damage taken from grenades, it will providedetailed analysis of any other cradles(both human or AI) found in the game world. While this may not be so useful against Enders or lower level Drifters, it can be a great help against better equipped players and bosses.
The Defensive Magus Skill will enable players to deploy atemporary shield wall to prevent incoming damage. This can be extremely usefulwhen facing off against strong enemy playersor Magus Hunters, who will often guard the most valuable items in the game.

1Cradle Support
Focuses On Repairs & Maintaining Health
The Cradle Support system is arguably the strongest of the available options, since it will significantlyincrease repair speedand reduce the player;s chances of dying. This system will also providedetailed analysis of any other cradlesencountered in the game world. This can be useful for determining their overall strength, reputation, and even win probability if engaged in combat.
The Cradle Support system’s Magus Skill will rapidly boost repair speed and can be very useful whenfacing off against enemies with evenly matched equipment. As a more general Magus system, Cradle Support is also useful against all enemy types, including Enders.
