The Last of Us Season 2 Sees Game Writers Team Up for Two Episodes
According to The Last of Us News on X (formerly Twitter),the creators ofThe Last of Us Part 2’s narrative,Neil Druckmann and Halley Gross, have co-written the final two episodes of the show’s second season. InThe Last of Usseason one, Craig Mazin, who is best known for writing the historical disaster drama miniseriesChernobyl, wrote all of the first season’s episodes, other than its premiere and finale, which he co-wrote with Druckmann, and the seventh episode, which was written by Druckmann. Now, Gross and Druckmann appear to have teamed up alongside Mazin to bring fans their explosive visions of what will happen in the show’s sixth and seventh episodes.
In the comment section of the post, It’s fair to say that most fans are beside themselves at the possibilities of the two iconic writers coming together to put forth what could be its most impactful episodes to date. One eager fan said that season two’s final episodes “are gonna be a must-watch with the creators of the game taking the helm,” while another stated “Can it be April already!?".Gross has been at the helm of other incredible series likeWestworld, Amazon’sToo Old to Die Young, Batman: Caped Crusaderand has won multiple awards for her writing, alongside Druckmann. The acclaimed writer will also star as AJ in an acting role in Naughty Dog’s next action-adventure title,Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
