Summary
Electronic Arts has teased an ambitiousThe Sims 4roadmap for late winter and mid-to-early spring 2025. The company’s near-future content agenda includes anotherThe Sims 4expansion pack and several new kits, among other plans.
February 4 marked the25th anniversary of the originalThe Sims. EA’s jubilee celebrations began a few days earlier with the re-release of the first two franchise entries, whose content-complete “Legacy Collections” debuted on January 31, priced at $19.99 for the original and $29.99 for its sequel. Meanwhile,The Sims 4’s next season, Motherlode, is set to kick off on February 6.

Ahead of the upcoming content drop, EA shared a brief overview of whatThe Sims 4playerscan expect in the months ahead. The company’s newly revealed roadmap spans the better part of the first half of 2025, starting with the first look at the recently confirmed Businesses and Hobbies expansion pack, which is scheduled for Thursday, February 6. EA plans to share a gameplay deep dive detailing the upcoming expansion 12 days later.
The Sims 4 H1 2025 Roadmap
Some kind of surprise announcement is then scheduled for February 25. ThemysteriousThe Sims 4event had already been teased beforehand, sparking widespread fan speculation about what it might entail. One popular theory suggests it may relate to the next base game patch, which, based on historical precedent, would likely arrive on March 4—the Tuesday before the next expansion pack. However, EA’s newly shared roadmap does not mention March 4.
Moving into spring, threenewThe Sims 4creator kitsare now confirmed to be arriving on May 1. The upcoming DLC batch includes Restoration Workshop, Golden Years, and Kitchen Clutter. Two of these have fairly self-explanatory names: Golden Years will likely focus on elderly gameplay, while Kitchen Clutter appears to be a cooking area-themed counterpart to packs like Bathroom Clutter and Everyday Clutter. That leaves Restoration Workshop as the only pack whose theme isn’t immediately clear. A wrench featured in the game’s newly revealed roadmap might hint at a connection to cars, though this theory is far from conclusive. The upcoming kits are expected to be priced at $4.99 each.

More The Sims 4 Content Is Likely Coming in H2 2025
Businesses and Hobbies likely won’t be the game’s final expansion pack of the year. Given EA’s history of releasingThe Sims 4expansions every few months, the publisher plausibly has more content planned for the second half of 2025. Meanwhile, the upcoming Motherlode season is set to run from February 6 to May 25.
