This episode also gives an extended introduction to the Mist and Love Hashira, who accompany Tanjiro in his travels, along with Genya. Both characters are hilarious in their own right and add to the weirdness of the only lighthearted episode in the Swordsmith Village arc before the conflict escalates to much more serious territory.

Thetwo characters who accompany Tanjiroon his travels are also two of the funniest demon slayers in the show. Without any context, it’s hard not to find Inosuke’s introduction to be odd, especially since he arrives while wearing a boar’s head.
To make things weirder, Tanjiro accidentally unmasks Inosuke to reveal a pretty face that is totally unlike the personality of the man trying to kill his sister. It’s a memorable way to introduce Inosuke before the stakes are raised once again.

Zenitsu’s Antics Make Him Look Like An Oddball
During Tanjiro’s travels, he happens upon a demon slayer who is being a bit too creepy with a girl. The protagonist steps in to save her honor, leading to his first-ever encounter with Zenitsu.
It’s a brief introduction that takes place right before things get serious, yet fans can’t help but find Zenitsu’s behavior off-putting. He embodies a cliche in anime that needs to be done away with soon, but Zenitsu’s Thunder Breathing style is enough to endear him to most viewers.

After enduring a grueling battle and convincing the Demon Slayer Corps thatNezuko was harmless, the main trio healed their injuries and went through some intense training to improve their breathing techniques. This training arc is hilarious, since Tanjiro’s friends can act quite goofy.
Seeing Inosuke stretched out well beyond necessary and Zenitsu trying to escape his training every single time is quite offbeat. However, it adds to the charm ofDemon Slayerand makes it clear why fans love this series, even during moments when the action and swordfights aren’t the main focus.

A Weird Yet Lighthearted Episode That’s Perfect After The Harrowing Fight Against Kyogai
The battle against Kyogai is the toughest fight Tanjiro had participated in up to that point. As such, it was only fitting that the trio would get some downtime to enjoy before battling even tougher demons.
This weird episode sees the trio trying to sleep in a single room, only for Zenitsu to find out that the demon that Tanjiro had carried all this time is a cute young girl. Accusations follow as Tanjiro tries to clear up any misunderstanding, with Inosuke’s misplaced energy adding to the weirdness of the situation.

Seeing Each Demon Slayer In Their Unconvincing Disguise Is A Bizarre Moment
TheEntertainment District arc is where things get real, with the heroes fighting an active member of the Upper-Rank Demon Moons. However, before fans can enjoy the action, the demon slayers must try and locate the demon wreaking havoc in this district.
Tengen comes up with a weird plan to disguise the demon slayers who are following him as girls to help them infiltrate the most district’s popular establishments. While Tanjiro and Zenitsu look very ugly in their makeup, Inosuke’s pretty face makes him the pick of the litter by a country mile in a weird and lighthearted episode.

Obanai’s Jealously Is Oddly Hilarious
Fans love the many endearing episodes in the Hashira Training arc, including one that explores Obanai and Mitsuru’s relationship. The former is obsessed with the Love Hashira, and makes things harder for Tanjiro when he sees the promising demon slayer making his crush laugh.
His jealousy is weird yet endearing, making this episode an odd gem. Even with Sanemi and Genya grabbing the spotlight with their brotherly dispute, the eccentric nature of this episode still stands out because of the dynamic that is established between two strong Hashira.
