Michael Myers may be stealthy and Jason Voorhies may have an unforgettable hockey mask, but I’ll always love Ghostface the most. This sometimes goofyhorrorvillain may look the same in every movie, but they still keep everyone guessing. Like other fans of the slasher franchise, I’m curious, eager, and excited aboutScream 7. I’m particularlylooking forward to catching up withbeloved characters like Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox)and Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell).

I’m On Board With This Scream 7 Ghostface Fan Theory
I like the Ghostface fan theory discussed in aReddit threadabouthow the sequel can separate itself from the previous six movies. Redditor @HearTheEkko wrote:
“If this movie leads to a new trilogy with Sidney I’d like to see a Ghostface escape and be a recurring villain through the whole trilogy. That would be very unique for the franchise.”
No Ghostface has ever appeared in more than oneScreammovie, which is why I like this idea so much. It would be cool tosee the same Ghostface killer appear inScream 7, Scream 8, andScream 9.
Fans have wondered about a newScreamtrilogyfor a while now, and it’s not impossible to imagine that more sequels will be made. I think there are a few ways to make this fan theory work . First of all, if the same killer appeared in threeScreamsequels, there would have to bea lot of secrets, twists, and some Ghostface reveals that turn out to be fake. Otherwise, audiences would get bored waiting to find out the identity of the killer along withGhostface’s motive for the murders.
Second of all,Scream 7could pretend to reveal Ghostface’s identity in the final minute, which would make audiences even more eager to watch a potentialScream 8. Then, when the eighth movie opened, fans would learn that the real Ghostface is still out there. This would alsohelp make the movies scarier. Although of course there’s a real dangerous and deadly threat in every film, theScreammovies lean more on goofy scenes and funny quotes than on real scares. But if the same Ghostface chased Sidney and the others for three movies, they would be particularly terrifying. I think it would be even more satisfying to see this Ghostface be defeated.
I also I think thatScream 7needs to develop its main characters well.The franchise’s side charactersand major players are why fans keep coming back. Sure, they enjoy watching Ghostface and feel a certain amount of nostalgia for the franchise. But they also feel connected to Sidney’s story and like seeing her interact with the people in her life. IfScream 7,Scream 8,andScream 9combined twists and turns with strong character moments, it would be a perfect new trilogy.
Who Played Ghostface In Scream 6 And What Were The Killer’s Motives?
Max Laferriere played Ghostface inScream 6and talked about the experience in an interview withHalloween Daily News. He said:
“I remember when I was putting it on and I looked at myself in the mirror, and I felt honored by it. I felt like, ‘Holy crap, this is bigger than I thought.’ This is a big thing. This is a big character, because he’s kind of an entity… Once you have the mask and the robe on, he’s not that person. He is Ghostface. So I remember I was honored by it, and I just wanted to give it justice.”
There werethree Ghostface killers inScream 6: Ethan Landry (Jack Champion), Quinn Bailey (Liana Liberato) and Detective Wayne Bailey (Dermot Mulroney).Richie Kirsch (Jack Quaid) was Ethan and Quinn’s brother, and Wayne is his father. They wanted to get revenge on the main characters for what happened to Richie. TheGhostfaceScreamkillers are motivated by revengefor the most part, but some want to be well-known and go viral because of their violent attacks. It’s possible that theScream 7killer could have a different reason for the killing spree that hasn’t been explored in a previousScreammovie.
