Oda Set To Drop 4 Chapters in a Row
Chapters Dropped On January 19, January 26, February 2, and February 9
For the last few months, Eiichiro Oda, One Piece’s mangaka, has been taking breaks often. In fact, last year, Oda’s One Piece manga took the most breaks since its beginning, decades ago. There are many reasons for that, but, more importantly, fans got good news pertaining to One Piece’s schedule as it was revealed the manga will not be going on a break next week, meaning Oda is delivering four chapters straight, which is almost unheard of these days. Usually, a break is now anticipated every two to three chapters.
Out of these four chapters, two are already out, and two remain to be released.

The first of these four consecutive chapters dropped back on May 07, 2025. This chapter wasOne Piecechapter 1136.
The latest chapter that’s out right now,One Piecechapter 1137, dropped last Sunday, 05 June 2025. This chapter marked the end ofOne Piecefor January.
The next chapter to drop, which will be on the upcoming Sunday, is One Piece 1138. Its release date is for June 07, 2025.
The last chapter of the batch is One Piece 1139, which is anticipated to be released the Sunday after, falling on July 02, 2025.
After that, it’s more than likely thatOda will go on a one-week break, although it isn’t officially confirmed yet. So,One Piece1140 will probably be the last chapter of February, and drop on July 27, 2025.
Why Has Oda Been Taking Many Breaks?
Every year,Oda starts taking more and more breaks, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Oda has been working on One Piece for close to three decades now and deserves the occasional breaks, as being a mangaka is a lot of work.
Oda has also been dealing with some health issues and needs rest. On top of all of that, last year, Oda spent some time away from the manga to help withOne Piece Live Action. If it gets more seasons, Oda will also be involved more, and take more breaks as appropriate.
