It’s a shame that many gamers didn’t get their hands onRed Steel 2. It’s one of the fewgames on the Wii that uses its motion controls properlyin combat scenarios, letting players wield a blade and aim a gun to take out their foes across a host of missions.

The melee combat in this game is impressive, with many loving how natural it felt to slash enemies with a sword and tear them apart. This satisfying sword-fighting makes up for some of the game’s leaner parts and ensures that players will be enraptured throughout.

Back when Arkane was testing the waters with the immersive sim genre, they partnered with Ubisoft to develop an action-packed game set in theMight and Magicuniverse. While players could use ranged attacks to take out their foes, the true enjoyment of this game came with the application of melee combat.

It’s the most fleshed-out aspect ofDark Messiah of Might and Magicthat rewards players for using combos, spending adrenaline points wisely, and making the most of the environment. Using sword strikes and kicks to throw enemies off ledges or nail them to spike walls is something that many players can’t get enough of no matter how many hours they spend in the game.

For Honoris a great title. It features unique gameplay that fans of games with challenging melee combat should check out. Players can choose a warrior from one of several factions, all of whom boast unique movesets and skills that can give them an edge against their opponents.

This was changed inWarrior Within, where the prince gains access to a massive moveset full oftantalizing combos and dual-wielding attacks.

Players can grab, counter, and vault over their foes to make combat feel even more acrobatic than ever. Using a vertical wall run to unleash a spinning attack or grabbing and choking enemies out is something that countless fans can’t seem to get enough of.
