Undisputed Releases New Development Update Video

In a new development update video released on January 31, Steel City Interactive briefly touched on its plan for futureUndisputedpatches. The first point mentioned by CEO Ash Habib was robes, which will be coming to the game in a future update for select fighters such as Tyson Fury, Muhammed Ali, Canelo, and other high-profile boxers. Habib then touched upon online play, calling it a “number one priority” for the studio. The CEO said Steel City is still looking at ways to improveUndisputed’s online play, including continued work on the AI-driven judge’s scorecards. As for the game’s next update, which was recently being playtested on Steam, Habib says the patch is now being finalized and will be released “soon.” Unfortunately, no firm release date for the update was given.

Although there are plenty ofbugs and gameplay issues withUndisputed, Steel City still appears to be working on new features and quality-of-life improvements too. One of the new improvements confirmed for a future update is online multi-queue, which will allow players to select multiple weight divisions, such as Heavyweight, Lightweight, and Welterweight, pick a fighter for each weight class, and then search for an opponent. The matchmaking system will then find an opponent in one of the selected weight classes and pair the two together. The idea is to increase the speed at which players find an online match, asUndisputedcurrently only allows players to queue for one weight class at a time.

Steel City’s CEO didn’t lock down any firm dates for any of the new features or updates coming toUndisputed, but there were mentions of an online character creator, the ability to choose which fighters appear in career mode, new customization options, more free DLC, and additional fighters. The studio recently released a paidDLC pack forUndisputedthat included controversial boxer Jake Paul, as well as Zhilei Zhang, Juan Manuel Márquez, Erik Morales, Marco Antonio Barrera, James Douglas, and Otto Wallin.
