Wayne Bridge Explains Why He Will Not Fight KSI

While many Boxing fans are eager to seeKSI go head-to-head with Jake Paul, it was announced on January 18 that the YouTuber would be facing Wayne Bridge on June 24, 2025. During a Misfits event, KSI took to the ring to announce his scheduled bout before facing off with Bridge. During the heated confrontation, KSI made references to a personal scandal in which Bridge’s ex-wife allegedly became romantically involved with fellow footballer John Terry. While on the mic, KSI taunted Bridge by saying, “Aren’t you the guy that let John Terry smash your ex?” Now, just two days after the fight announcement, Bridge has confirmed in anInstagram Stories postthat he will not be fighting KSI on March 29 due to the comments made.

In the lengthy post, Bridge says that what was said on Saturday night “crossed a line.” He then explained that he is “a family man first” and that his priority is to protect them. “I personally don’t want to be involved in these exchanges,” Bridge said, before going on to confirm that he will no longer befighting KSIon March 29. The former footballer did state that he is still looking out for his “next big challenge” and has some “exciting things” coming up this year, but did not reveal whether or not another boxing match was on the cards.

KSI has yet to speak publicly on the canceled bout, which is now the YouTuber’s second fight to be canceled in just five months. Prior to the announcement that he would fight Wayne Bridge, KSI was scheduled to take on both Slim Albaher and Anthony Taylor in a 2 v 1 tag team match. KSI announced on June 28, 2025, that he would be withdrawing from the fight due to an injury. With such a huge following behind him, there are multiple avenues that the YouTuber could take for his next bout.KSI has previously stated that he would love to fight Andrew Tate, a controversial social media personality who was once a professional kickboxer.
