Summary
It’s a great idea to center a TV season around a stalker. Viewers are immediately drawn into this scary and mysterious storyline and it sets up all kinds of fun twists, turns, and reveals. I love thatWednesdayseason 2 will be about a figure messaging and chasing Jenna Ortega’s character Wednesday Addamsand think it’s the right direction for the hitNetflixseries.
Fans have theories about Wednesday’s stalkerand I enjoyed reading them all. But while it’s definitely possible that the villain in the second season of the popular series is someone who Wednesday has never met before,I wonder if it could be someone close to this beloved and sarcastic character.

Here’s Why The Wednesday Season 2 Stalker Should Be In Wednesday Addams’s Life
I think it would make sense if Wednesday’s season 2 stalker was someone who she knows. I’m mostlythinking about the stalker’s motive. When I think about stories about mysterious figures who are chasing someone (every Ghostface in theScreamfranchisecomes to mind), the person isusually motivated by revenge. How could a complete stranger want to get even with Wednesday when she has never met them? Sure, the show could come up with an explanation, but I’m not sure it would be believable.
I also think that if the stalker was someone who Wednesday knows, this would allow the show todelve deeper intothe history of the Addams Family. A main criticism ofWednesdayseason 1 is that it didn’t include enough references to the ’90s movies and past Addams Family projects. If an Addams Family member or someone connected to the family was stalking Wednesday, then this would make fans happy.

I would also loveif the stalker was Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) or Wednesday’s mom Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones). This would be a big twist that could be revealed at the end ofWednesdayseason 2. What ifEnid or Morticia was pretending to be a cruel stalker but was really just trying to help Wednesday enjoyher time at Nevermore Academy? They could try to get her more involved with the school and to come out of her shell a bit more. Sure, that might not be quite as thrilling as the stalker being a true villain. But I still think it would be an effective reveal.
If Wednesday was stalked by a friend or relative, she couldplay a prank or get revenge on them. This could set upWednesdayseason 3 and give fans something compelling to look forward to. After all, Wednesday got in trouble for playing mean pranks on students at her last school, so fans know that she has this spunky streak in her. It’s hard to believe that she has truly moved past the desire to manipulate others. I wouldn’t love to see Wednesday fighting with Enid or her mom, but it would be interesting to have a tense season 3 storyline.
I’m also wonderingif the stalker is a Nevermore teacher. WhetherWednesday is more chaotic in the second seasonor becomes more mature, I know that she’s going to be able to crack the case and find her stalker’s identity. It would make sense for her to realize that the stalker was hiding under her nose the whole time.
What Did Jenna Ortega Say About The Wednesday Season 2 Stalker?
In an interview withTV Guide,Jenna Ortega discussedWednesday’s stalker in the highly anticipated second seasonand she said it could be “random.” She explained:
“I always kind of assumed it was Laurel or Tyler but considering those two are out of the question, I’d love for it to be someone completely random.”
Ortega continued thatmaybe Wednesday’s stalker is someone who fans don’t know yet. She said:
“There’s like this really interesting looking character who’s in the background of some of the shots at the exterior of Nevermore. He’s like the janitor, raking leaves. I would love for it to be him just because he was such a cool guy and I want to talk to him.”
Whether Wednesday’s stalker is a friend, teacher, or “random,” fans areexcited to see who Lady Gaga playsand torevisit the wild, intense, and spooky world of Nevermore Academy. Fromthe teaser that was released, it’s clear thatWednesdayseason 2 is going to be awesome.
