Summary

While Netflix’sWednesdaySeason 2 doesn’t have an official release date, it looks like the second installment of the streaming series is getting closer. That’s because earlier this week, Netflix released a new teaser meant to give at least a hint at what people can expect when the whole season ofWednesdaydoes finally arrive.

WednesdaySeason 2 will pick uproughly where Season 1 ended up. That means that Wednesday Addams will be once again trying to solve mysteries centering around her boarding school and the town its located in. In the process, she’ll be living her life around various types of magical people and creatures including her roommate Enid Sinclair. It appears Wednesday also isn’t quite done with Season 1’s big baddie, Tyler Galpin.

Netflix Releases Teaser For Wednesday Season 2

On Thursday, Netflix released a very short teaser onsocial mediaof what toexpect inWednesdaySeason 2. The video is very short but it does show the outside of Willowhill psychiatric hospital and then the streaming services titular star going inside to find Tyler chained to the wall. Every little scene is quick and seems to be shots in quick succession, but the teaser does indicate that all the rumblings of a darker Season 2 are in the works.

Wednesday showrunners have saidthat Season 2 is going to be more “complex” and that it will lean more into the horror aspects of the show. There’s also some talk that there might be a new member of the Addams family who will show up. The showrunners have also said one big change to Season 2 is that there won’t be any kind of a love interest for Wednesday. Of course, considering that one of the boys she fell for in Season 1 turnedout to be a literal monster, it makes some sense that she stay away from those kinds of entanglements in the next installment.

It has been confirmed that there will be at least one new character on Wednesday Season 2. While it’s not clear who she will play,Lady Gaga has been confirmedas part of the cast. It’s possible that she’s going to be the aforementioned family member. She might also simply be a teacher at Nevermore who will take Wednesday under her wing. Lady Gaga does seem like the perfect person to step into Nevermore and be a kind of kindred spirit for Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams.

Now that this teaser has officially released, it seems likely that Netflix is about to start really letting details about the second season of the hit series out in the wild. One of those details is almost certainly when exactly fans ofWednesdaycan watch the second season. It’s due out at some point this year and the fall seems to be the best bet. Season 1 was released in November of 2022 and the entire vibe of the show seems to fit best into the fall and winter months. Of course, that word hasn’t come from Netflix just yet.
