Disney Dreamlight Valleyis known for releasing consistent episodes throughout the year, and 2025 will be no exception. Based on the published roadmap, three updates to the Disney-based life simulation game are coming in the first half of 2025 alone. It seems likely that the month of February will see the first of these updates released - and that, combined withDisney Dreamlight Valley’sincreased focus on holidays in 2024, could make February quite a big month for the game.

February 2025 Seems A Likely Release Month For Dreamlight Valley’s Next Update

The currentDisney Dreamlight ValleyStar Path, “Frost and Fairies,” concludes on Aug 02, 2025. This means that the next update - and the next Star Path that comes with it - could presumably release at any time after that. While it is possible thatDisney Dreamlight Valleycould wait until March to release the update, February seems most likely, especially as it was labeled as “Early 2025” on the roadmap. The second and third updates are scheduled for “Spring” and “Summer” respectively, making fans suspect an April or May release for the second and a June or July release for the third.

The nextDisney Dreamlight Valleywill see the introduction of two new characters,Aladdin and Princess Jasminefrom the filmAladdin. They join the film’s villain, Jafar, who was officially added to the game in 2024 after serving as the main antagonist of the “A Rift in Time” expansion. The pair will likely be accompanied by a new Star Path. It may featureAladdin-inspired items, Valentine-themed gear, or both. In 2024, the “Lovely Monsters” Star Path combined Valentine’s goodies withMonsters, Inc.items to celebrate Mike and Sulley’s arrival in the Valley.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Has Increased Its Focus On Holidays

Annual holiday events, such as “Trick or Treat” for Halloween and “The Gift of Giving” at the end of the year, have been a staple ofDisney Dreamlight Valleysince its inception. Early versions of these events typically included seasonal crafting recipes, tasks players could complete for seasonal rewards, and potentially limited-time resources - egg-shaped fruits and vegetables in spring and fish wearing tiny Santa Claus hats in winter.

However, in 2024, the game’s focus on holidays increased. The Halloween event added new craftable recipes, while “Gift of Giving” included free gifts of furniture and clothing as well as a mini-quest to create a snowman themed afterAlice in Wonderland’sMad Hatter. The game also introduced new holidays:Disney Parks Fest, an original celebration focused on crafting park-themed furniture, rides, and popcorn buckets, and the End of Summer festival, in which players collected marshmallows to create delicious summer snacks such as s’mores. It has not been confirmed if either of these events will return in 2025, but it’s definitely possible they will become a part ofDisney Dreamlight Valley’sregular rotation.

With the increasing importance of holidays inDisney Dreamlight Valley, there is a definite possibility that Valentine’s Day will get a more elaborate celebration in 2025. Perhaps such an event could focus on the couples in the Valley, especially as the characters presumably coming in at the same time, Aladdin and Jasmine, are a couple themselves. With Minnie and Mickey, Anna and Kristoff, and many more couples present in the Valley, an event celebrating their love would be quite fun. Alternatively, perhaps a new heart-shaped flower, fruit, or vegetable could be introduced, or new crafting recipes could be added utilizing the Red Roses grown inthe Beast’s greenhouse. Regardless of howDisney Dreamlight Valleychooses to celebrate the Valentine holiday, it seems likely that February could be a big month for the game.
