This has massively improved the quality of recent mods, allowing talented modders to push the game even further than ever before.
This new mod is titled Herald of the White Frost, and can currently be found onNexus Modsby user errornoaccess. It adds a new dragon mount to the game called Unhceglia, the Herald of the White Frost, which allows players to take to the skies for the first time. Players must first defeat the dragon in combat before they’re able to summon it, which can be done during theWitcher 3questThrough Time and Space. Alternatively, players can summon it using a new item called the Mysterious Sapphire Crystal, which can be bought from several vendors across the game.

The combat camera is admittedly a little janky, but it definitely seems like aWitcher 3modthat all players should install to try out at least once. Herald of the White Frost was only released on February 4 and is currently in version 1.1, so it will be cool to follow this one to see if it improves even further in the future.

The game’s announcement with a flashy trailer back at The Game Awards 2024 caused waves, especially when it was confirmed thatCiri isThe Witcher 4’s protagonist. It’s going to be an exciting change for the franchise, although the game could still be a long while away yet.
