Plunderstorm is a piratical battle royaleWorld of Warcraftintroduced in 2024. However, after it started, fans noticed that Trios – thethree-person Plunderstorm matchesWorld of Warcraftaddedpartway through the first event – were nowhere to be found.

Now, Trios has finally made its return to Plunderstorm.World of Warcraftrecently announced that, as of the reset on the week of January 21, Trios has been re-enabled in the battle royale game mode. World of Warcraft Plunderstorm Trios is Back
Trio Plunderstorm matches differ from Solo and Duo queues in a few ways. Because there are only 20 teams, early fights are less frequent, giving fans more time to gain experience, collect and upgrade theirWorld of WarcraftPlunderstorm abilities, and finish their Captain’s Orders quests to earn more Plunder. Skirmishes are also more chaotic with an extra teammate, and escaping to later resurrect one’s teammates after a lost battle is also easier.
The reason for the initial absence of Trios in Plunderstorm’s second run is currently unknown. It could be that the addition of Plunderstorm’s new features, such as the Plunderstore, whereWorld of Warcraftplayers can buy both old and new rewardsfrom the event, or the Practice Lobby threw unexpected wrenches into the user interface, requiring a little extra time to ensure Trios worked appropriately. Either way, fans are excited about the return of Trios in Plunderstorm, as many consider it to be the most fun and engaging way to play the battle royale.
Players interested in watching some high-stakes matches of the piratical game mode will not want to missWorld of Warcraft’s second Plunderstorm Creator Royale. This PvP tournament pits 30 teams of twoWorld of Warcraftcontent creators each against one another in up to eight matches, with a $50,000 prize pool on the line for the top teams.
