While much of the heartfelt letter treads on familiar ground, there are a few pieces of new information scattered throughout – and among them, one of the most exciting updates is thatWorld of Warcraftis dropping info about Player Housing the same day the blog was shared.
World of Warcraft Reveals State of the Game 2025
The new player experience is also somethingWorld of Warcraftis planning to work on. Longdale said there is no quick fix for it, so the project that began inShadowlandswith Exile’s Reach will continue intoMidnight,The Last Titan, and beyond. She also teased several other new features Blizzard hopes to implement, including rewards for positive behavior likeOverwatch 2’s Endorsement system, easier ways to connect with like-minded fans, and moretools for roleplayers inWorld of Warcraft.
Another of the more interesting things Longdale mentioned was integration with social media platforms the community often uses. InWarlords of Draenor, Blizzard added Twitter integration, though the feature was ultimatelyremoved fromWorld of Warcraftin early 2023due to API policy changes on the site. Fans will have to wait and see which social platforms are the subject of this integration, and if it will be more popular and successful than the Twitter integration was.
Longdale also confirmedWorld of Warcraft ClassicSeason of Discovery isn’t ending with Phase 7, despite the fact that the update was supposed to be its last one. Players can expect to hear more about what’s next for Season of Discovery, other forms ofClassic, and modernWoWover the next few months.
