Elaborating on that point, Spencer reiterated his November 2024 statement that Microsoft has “no red lines” when considering which first-party games could potentially be ported to non-Xbox consoles.
PS5 Version of Starfield Has Long Been Rumored

Although the newly announced Switch 2 is expected to be much more powerful than its predecessor, it will likely still fall short of the PS5’s processing capabilities, reducing the likelihood of it ever receivingStarfield. However, Xbox Game Pass leaker eXtas1s has recently claimed that aSwitch 2 version ofStarfieldcould still happen.
Regarding Bethesda’s other projects,Indiana Jones and the Great Circlehas already been confirmed as coming to the PS5 in spring 2025. Meanwhile, the rumored Unreal Engine 5 remake ofThe Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, reportedly being developed by Virtuos, is also expected to launch on the PS5, though likely not on day one. Since early 2024, Microsoft has repeatedly stated that its multi-platform publishing push is an attempt to get ahead of market trends, claiming that the overall gaming industry is now moving away from platform exclusives.
