Xbox Apologizes for Advertising World of Warcraft on Game Pass
After Microsoft purchased Activision Blizzard, a few games from the publisher were added to Xbox Game Pass. Back in November 2024, for example, two Blizzard games were added to Game Pass:StarCraft: RemasteredandStarCraft 2: Campaign Collection. Fortunately,Xbox Game Pass has an incredible lineup of games for January 2025, even withoutWorld of Warcraft. The month has three day-one releases, includingEternal Strands,Sniper Elite: Resistance, andCitizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector. In the next few months, titles such asAvowed,South of Midnight,Doom: The Dark Ages, andClair Obscur: Expedition 33will also be added.

While the addition ofWorld of Warcraftto Microsoft’s popular subscription was not true, a recentleak indicated three games coming to Xbox Game Pass in February 2025, including one Activision and one Blizzard title. According to Insider Gaming,Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time,Heroes of the Storm, andMadden NFL 25could be added to the service soon, with the last game being added via EA Play.
