With just a few days remaining until Version 1.5’s release,Zenless Zone Zerohas officially detailed the full kit for upcoming S-Rank character Astra Yao ahead of her launch. The next update to the HoYoverse urban action RPG looks to have loads of content in store between its newest characters, more story content, andZenless Zone Zero’s first rerun banners. HoYoverse has already revealed the two new featured characters for Version 1.5, with Astra Yao and Evelyn Chevalier serving as the first members of the “Stars of Lyra” faction. The developer is now fully breaking down Astra Yao’s gameplay.
HoYoverse’s newest “Agent Mechanics Intro” posts showcase the full gameplay kit for Astra Yao’s playable release. Astra Yao’s Additional Ability will benefit from having Attack or Anomaly characters in her party, providing extra follow-up attacks when using her “Precise Assist” and “Basic Attack: Finale” abilities.Astra Yao’s Special Attack, “Windchimes and Oaths,” will cause Astra Yao to enter a special state called “Idyllic Cadenza” locking herself in place on the battlefield. While in Idyllic Cadenza, Astra Yao will stay on the field when switching Agents and buffs her own and her teammates' damage.
Zenless Zone Zero Shows Astra Yao’s Kit
Astra Yao is expected to be a powerful new addition to the game, not only for her kit but her typing as well. The singer will serve asZenless Zone Zero’s first S-Rank Ether Support character, with the only current A-Rank option coming with starter character Nicole. Her Additional Ability benefitting both Attack and Anomaly characters will also make her a flexible unit, able to be used both with Attack characters like Evelyn andpopular Anomaly units like Miyabi. Astra Yao will debut withZenless Zone Zero’s Version 1.5 on January 22.
Astra Yao’s addition toZenless Zone Zerowill also mark another momentous occasion for the popular RPG. Version 1.5 is set to introduceZenless Zone Zero’s first character skins, withAstra Yao set to receiving a stunning new outfitalongside her typical look during the update. The patch will also add new skins for some of the game’s earliest characters, with Nicole receiving a free skin alongside S-Rank character Ellen.Zenless Zone Zero’s Version 1.5 looks to be a jam-packed update with plenty of new content for fans.
