Zenless Zone Zeroofficially revealed Evelyn’s signature W-Engine, dubbed “Heartstring Nocturne,” on Friday evening with a full breakdown of its abilities. Heartstring Nocturne boasts 713 base ATK with its wearer also receiving a sizable buff to their Crit Rate, up to 24% when fully upgraded to Level 60. Its W-Engine effect grants a 50% buff to Crit DMG, with a stacking “Heartstring” mechanic causing attacks to ignore a portion of the enemy’s Fire RES when entering combat or using Chain Attacks and Ultimates.Evelyn’s signature W-Engine will releasealongside the second half of Version 1.5 on February 12.

Evelyn’s signature W-Engine could look to be a powerful upgrade for more than justZenless Zone Zero’s newest character. Its position as a Crit-focused W-Engine for Fire Attack characters could also look to benefit Version 1.0 S-Rank character Soldier 76, with the W-Engine’s ability being easy to activate. The W-Engine will also look to pair well when its wearer isteamed up with Astra Yao, with the New Eridu starlet buffing Chain Attacks through her gameplay. Aside from its unique ability, the sizable buff to Crit stats could be used by several Attack characters as well.
HoYoverse is looking to have plenty in store forZenless Zone Zerobeyond Evelyn’s release, with teasers already hinting at Version 1.6.Zenless Zone Zero’s next update will welcome threenew characters to the roster with Silver Soldier Anby, Trigger, and Pulchra joining the game. The new characters also suggest that the next update’s story content may center around not only the OBOL Squad, but Anby’s mysterious backstory as well. Fans likely won’t have to wait much longer for a wealth of new content to hit the streets of New Eridu.
